The Gist: Rocklin will build a 16-court pickleball complex at Sunset Whitney Recreation Area’s future “Hub.” The facility will feature ADA access, spectator areas, and space for leagues and tournaments, addressing growing local interest in the sport. Construction is set to start in late April 2026, with a possible opening in late summer.

Why It Matters: This addition gives the community a state-of-the-art spot for recreation, competition, and events. Residents can look forward to a lively new space for fun, fitness, and community gatherings.

The Gist: The School of Sacramento Ballet is taking over Northern California Dance Conservatory at 920 Reserve Drive after owner Jen Bradford retires. The Roseville location will keep its community identity while adding the ballet school's broader curriculum, serving dancers from young children up to pre-professional students ages 12 to 18.

Why It Matters: Roseville families will soon have access to one of Sacramento's most established dance programs without the commute.

What's Next: Classes are expected to launch this fall. Keep an eye out for the schedule rollout.
