The Gist: Rocklin families have a new spot to play after the City cut the ribbon on a brand-new playground at Nightridge Park on Tuesday, August 11. The city replaced aging equipment with separate play areas for kids ages 2-5 and 5-12, adding fun features like the Miracle Machines My Cup of Tea spinner, musical elements, a dome climber, and a balance beam.
Why It Matters: The upgrades bring sensory-rich, accessible gear so local children of all abilities can play side-by-side. It is a wonderful investment in neighborhood life that keeps our local parks safe, welcoming, and vibrant for years to come.
Rocklin's Chamber of Commerce Names a New Leader
The Gist: The Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce has named Kathleen McCorry as its new CEO. She brings more than 25 years in the nonprofit world, including chamber leadership roles in Madera, Mariposa, and South County, plus Issaquah, Washington. She steps in after longtime CEO Robin Trimble retired following two decades at the helm.
Why It Matters: The chamber runs local staples like Hot Chili & Cool Cars and the Leadership Rocklin program, so who's in charge shapes a lot of what happens around town.

The Grazing Goose recently celebrated its first year, rising above an early-year hurdle to be the place you plan a slow morning around. Run by Ava and her detail-obsessed team, this bakery-charcuterie hub seamlessly transitions summer into fall.

September offers new cold-process soap workshops where you can meet the goats and craft custom bars. Between their small-batch lotions, monthly soap club, and custom gift baskets, it remains a community staple. The farm store opens Saturdays.
