Atlantic and Vernon Street S-Curve Begins Road Makeover
The Gist: Construction is underway on the Atlantic and Vernon Street S-curve between Lincoln and Yosemite to improve traffic flow and safety. The project includes lighted pedestrian crossings, reduced lanes for speed, green bike lanes, and new restrictions on intersections.
Why It Matters: This notorious roadblock curve will finally be safer for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians navigating one of our busiest corridors.
Rocklin Health Center Achieves Top Milestone
The Gist: Chapa-De Indian Health just achieved their feel-good milestone in Rocklin. Crews placed the final beam on the new South Placer Health Center, a 62,000 square foot clinic on W. Stanford Ranch Road.
Why It Matters: The center will bring medical, dental, and behavioral health care closer to home for up to 15,000 people. Construction continues, with hiring expected as opening day gets closer.
