The Gist: Fourteen-year-old Aya Gillis-Pade turned heads at the 2026 Speedo Sectionals in Roseville, clocking a 1:55.20 in the 200 backstroke. The time broke her personal best, set a Pacific LSC age group record, and ranks her No. 1 in the country among 13-14 girls this season.

Why It Matters: Roseville's Aquatics Complex hosted a meet packed with standout performances, and a local-region athlete just put her name on the national map.

The Gist: The Lewis Group of Companies celebrated the grand opening of the Farmhouse, a nearly 7,000-square-foot community center anchoring the new Liberty at Lincoln development near Ferrari Ranch Road and Liberty Parkway. The facility features a beach-entry pool, pickleball courts, a gym, dog park and more.

Why It Matters: Liberty is a big deal for Lincoln, with 3,500 homes planned, three builders signed on, and a future TK-8 school in the works.
