Costco Branch Prepares Opening for West Roseville Location
The Gist: Costco has prepared for their Jan. 23 opening date for its West Roseville store at 5200 Baseline Road, part of the Marketplace near Baseline and Fiddyment roads. The 160,000-plus square-foot branch includes a gas station and car wash, and will be the retailer’s 2nd store in Roseville.
Why It Matters: For west Roseville residents, this means easier access to buying groceries, cheaper gas, and fewer cross-town drives, making trips easier for necessities. Other Baseline Marketplace tenants have not been confirmed yet, however, more announcements are expected.
Rocklin's Moving Forward with Public Market Construction
The Gist: Plans are in motion to change Big Gun's Quarry location into the Rocklin Public Market, with a food hall, local shops, a brewery and restaurant, plus about 20 homes. It’s all designed to be walkable, right next to Quarry Park, though people are still waiting on the final project details.
Why It Matters: For Rocklin residents, this could provide downtown gathering places, more chances to support local food and retail businesses, and a busier, more connected feel around Quarry Park and Pacific Street, not just a location people are normally driving past everyday.
