Roseville Just Opened a Brand-New 7-Acre Park in Sierra Vista
The Gist: The City of Roseville officially dedicated John Byouk Park on March 21, cutting the ribbon on a 7.73-acre neighborhood park at 4651 Upland Drive in the Sierra Vista community. The site includes a playground, swings, a covered picnic area, a softball field with dugouts, walking paths, a multi-use turf area, and off-street parking. The park was named by City Council and adds to Roseville's goal of keeping a park within a ten-minute walk of most homes in the city.
Why It Matters: For Sierra Vista families who've watched this project take shape over the past several years, it's finally here, and it's a full-sized neighborhood park worth the wait.
A "Jewel" Gets a Facelift
The Gist Leadership Folsom is raising $30,000 to overhaul the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary entrance. The project adds digital kiosks and bold signage to help visitors find the tucked-away spot. These upgrades will finally highlight its true mission as a rescue-based sanctuary rather than a traditional zoo.
Why It Matters Better visibility means more visitors and more support for the 120,000 people and rescued animals the sanctuary serves every year.
