You may have noticed things look a little different around here. We recently switched to a new newsletter tool to make things easier on our end, and it gave us a good excuse to freshen up the design too.
The content is still the same kind of stuff you’re used to, but the new format lets us make the newsletter a little cleaner, more visual, and more fun to read.
Be sure to check out the featured home section, we're pretty proud of it!

11-Year-Old's artwork headed to Spider Magazine
The Gist: Sierra Tran's drawing titled 'Hot Dogs' won Spider Magazine's fall contest for young artists. She spent three days creating the humorous piece using pencils, colored pencils, and markers. Her work will appear in the September/October 2026 issue, reaching readers nationwide.
Why It Matters: It's a reminder that our local kids are creating work worth celebrating on a national stage.
Roseville plants 3,000 flags for 9/11 Anniversary
The Gist: This Friday, Sept. 11, Roseville is hosting a visual memorial at Vernon Town Square with 3,000 American flags on display from sunrise to sunset. The flags honor the 25th anniversary of the 2001 attacks and the nearly 3,000 lives lost, including 441 first responders. Community members are invited to walk among the flags and reflect.
Why It Matters: It's a chance to remember together and honor those who served and sacrificed for our country.

Precision meets thick, buttercream-stuffed indulgence
Founded by a local pharmacist, SweetCure BakeShop crafts award-winning, New York–style cookies that weigh in heavy and hit nostalgic notes. Expect thick, golden bakes packed with rich fillings: a vanilla cake cookie hiding a surprise center of whipped buttercream and rainbow sprinkles, or a chocolate version topped with retro-inspired piped icing.
Available for custom event orders or spotted on the counter at your favorite neighborhood coffee shop, they bring a small-batch, delightfully elevated touch to simple weekend pickups and large celebrations alike.
