Practical AI Workshop for Local Business Owners

Most businesses are still using AI for one-off tasks.

The real opportunity is using it to automate workflows, support your team, and build internal systems that help the company scale without adding headcount.

Thursday, July 16th

5:30 – 7:30pm

Moksa Barrel House, Roseville. Small group setting. Have a brew or two on us.

Join a small AI workshop for local 7-figure business owners to understand where AI can actually create leverage inside your business.

Thank you to our sponsors who help keep this newsletter free for the community. 🙏

Roseville youth bus pass is back for summer

The Gist: Roseville’s $10 Summer Youth Bus Pass has returned for kids in southern Placer County, giving them unlimited local service rides during the summer. The pass is being promoted for trips to summer jobs, movies, the mall, and other close-to-home plans.

Why It Matters: For parents, this is a small cost with a practical payoff. It gives older kids a little more independence while keeping summer transportation simple.

Lincoln fireworks get a last local push

The Gist: The Lincoln 4th of July Foundation shared a June 26 update on a local Tires Direct fundraiser, with a portion of purchases through July 3 going toward Lincoln’s fireworks show. The foundation says the celebration is powered by volunteers, sponsors, and community donations.

Why It Matters: Lincoln’s Fourth of July celebration does not happen by accident. Local support helps keep the park activities and fireworks free for families.

A Roseville Dinner Spot With Southern Soul

1151 Galleria Boulevard, Suite 1175, Roseville, CA

Q1227 Restaurant feels like the place you pick when dinner needs to feel a little more special than usual. Chef Q opened the Roseville restaurant in 2019, bringing together Southern roots, California ingredients, and a modern comfort-food style that still feels warm instead of fussy.

The menu has some real showpiece energy, including the Big Boy Tomahawk Steak with herb roasted potatoes and those fire-roasted chicken skewers that look made for the middle of the table. The restaurant also offers a Chef’s Table experience, which fits the whole mood here: dinner with a little ceremony, but still plenty of soul.

A Rocklin gym built for women

2209 Sunset Boulevard, Suite 901, Rocklin, CA

Fitnello Fitness is a women-only Rocklin gym built around personal training, group fitness, weight loss coaching, nutrition guidance, and body transformation. The setup is designed to feel supportive and judgment-free, with female trainers and a community-first approach.

The studio offers in-person and online programs, so it works for women who want structure without feeling like they are walking into a giant anonymous gym. Early weekday hours also make it a useful stop before work, school drop-off, or the rest of the day gets loud.
